Michaela Broeckx

has been a keen art and culture aficionado since her youth, and when studying management at UAMS (University of Antwerp Management School) she took the opportunity to combine her lifelong passion for the arts world with her career plans.

That cultural institutions and organisations, just as much as profit oriented businesses, require state-of-the-art management tools, including competence management and training & development, seems obvious - but is not always well understood in the field.

For a training or consultancy assignment in the arts sector to be effective, it requires a thorough understanding of the sector-related priorities and sensitivities, and a sympathetic outlook on the artistry of the people involved - which is why it is often hard to find a perfect match.

For more than a decade now, Beyond Borders has built a strong reputation in being a preferred partner to the arts sector when it comes to training and development, having worked with many of the major cultural organisations in Belgium (a/o BOZAR, Sociaal Fonds voor Podiumkunsten, MEDIARTE).
